Copyrights

UC Davis InnovationAccess provides a centralized resource for the UC Davis community with all aspects of copyrights related to our University mission. While some needs are routine and campus members can take care of these with some information, other copyright situations require one-on-one assistance which we are happy to provide. Below are links to information on the two most routine copyright needs.

• Use someone else's copyright-protected works in teaching or research
• Distribute UC Davis copyrighted works outside of UC Davis

We also provide two easy methods to stay up-to-date on the world of copyrights as it relates to UC Davis

• SmartSite project "Copyrights at UC Davis" is available for all SmartSite users to join as an educational and information-sharing forum.
• Listservs - UC Davis faculty, students and staff (ucdavis.edu email address required) can join the moderated copyright-info listserv and email questions to copyright@ucdavis.edu
